Are you a water sipper or a drinker?
Sippers only drink water occasionally (a glass of water lasts an hour), and drink other beverages such as sodas or sweet juices for thirst. For optimum health, you need to drink water. Water lubricates every system in your body like a well oiled engine. Water gives you energy when you feel tired and listless. By the time your lips are dry and you feel thirsty, you are already quite dehydrated.
The average adult needs as many as ten cups per day... a child might need five. That means one adult drinks a five-gallon bottle of water per week! A family of two adults and two children could use three bottles per week.
Are you are heading back to school ( or work) in Siptember? Take your re-usable bottle along with you. We H2Only drinkers can teach by example how to stay hydrated and not add plastic bottles to our land fills. Show your friends the number of ppm's in their disposable bottles of water. They'd be shocked if they knew that most brands have more dissolved solids than tap water!
Hope International - Cambodia
A number of customers have accepted our invitation to a free dinner November 14 at the Parkway Convention Centre. This dinner and short film shows the work Hope International is doing (and we at H2Only are supporting) in Cambodia. H2Only donates to the building of wells in the rural province of Pursat. Each well lifts four to five families out of extreme poverty into financial stability, providing water for crops and clean water to drink, which prevents disease and death. Not spending most of the day going to fetch water gives children the opportunity to go to school instead.
We are now seeing the long term results of the wells after almost a decade of building. This is our passion and we'd be thrilled to share it with you! Your dinner is paid for, it's free! A donation to the wells is all that is asked of you. If you have already responded, no need to do so again. We'll be sending you your official invite!
